What is the Chancenkarte (opportunity card)?
The Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte) allows non-EU candidates to come to Germany to look for job opportunities without a permanent job offer.
It is issued to skilled workers or those who score at least six points in the points system.
The card allows holders to take a two-week trial job or work part-time (up to 20 hours per week).
It grants a stay in Germany for up to one year, with the main goal of finding a job.
Once you find a job, you can apply for a work permit or residence permit.
